Fitzpatrick Scale Eligibility
What is Fitzpatrick Scale and what is it used for?
The Fitz Scale has long been trusted by Skin care professionals as a guide in selecting what professional treatments and products to be used on their clients. The guide was developed by combing the different characteristics of the skin, hair and eyes and how they react typically to UV rays. This guide gives Professionals a quick reference to the likelihood of a reaction to slightly more aggressive treatments such as peels, microdermabrasion, and Plasma Lift.
Am I Fitz Eligible?
Types 1, 2 and 3 are eligible for plasma lift.
Types 4 is eligible for plasma lift -but at slightly higher risk for hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation - I require a Test patch at least a 6 weeks prior to treatment.
Type 5 & 6 unfortunately are in ineligible for plasma lift due to the greater risk of hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation.
